Week 23 – Curly Shares the Secret

Curly Washburn (played by the Oscar-winning Jack Palance) in the Western classic: City Slickers

The One Thing.

What is your One Thing?

I have found my life’s mission of providing financial education to others just recently. I used one thing: the Silence. I control my thoughts in silence. I do this consistently, and I create more ideas, create more methods, create more directions and more importantly, create more faith. Faith in achieving my mission. Faith in achieving my Definiteness of Purpose.

In week 23, we have been instructed more to utilize Deepak Chopra’s spiritual Law of Least Effort. We have been given the following tools: acceptance, responsibility and defenselessness.

1. I will practice Acceptance. Today I will accept people, situations, circumstances, and events as they occur. I will know that this moment is as it should be, because the whole universe is as it should be. I will not struggle against the whole universe by struggling against this moment. My acceptance is total and complete. I accept things as they are this moment, not as I wish they were.

2. Having accepted things as they are, I will take Responsibility for my situation and for all those events I see as problems. I know that taking responsibility means not blaming anyone or anything for my situation (and this includes myself). I also know that every problem is an opportunity in disguise, and this alertness to opportunities allows me to take this moment and transform it into a greater benefit.

3. Today my awareness will remain established in Defenselessness. I will relinquish the need to defend my point of view. I will feel no need to convince or persuade others to accept my point of view. I will remain open to all points of view and not be rigidly attached to any one of them.

I focus on this one Law (“one thing”) for the time being until it become effortless for me to create success and good fortune, just as Nature’s intelligence functions with effortless ease. I’ve gone through many periodical exercises like the Mental Diet & reading Emerson’s Law of Compensation and they have paid off tremendously! I’ll be compounding the fruits of my mental labor with the above eventual fruits of the above mentioned undertaking: the Law of Least Effort.

Best of luck to all my fellow MKMMA’ers on this last stretch of the journey. I’m proud of all of you. It’s time to finish strong.

Week 22a – Shhh…

For our minds to explore the realm of divine ideas and manifest demand, we have the Silence. Silence is what we utilize to dream and create methods for our intentions. Practicing the Silence gets us to use the “key” to open the doors of external opportunities.

When someone in ancient Greece passes away, they never remember him by his life achievements. They ask only one thing: “Did he have passion?” Passion. What do we love and what are we passionate about that drives us? The answer may be found in the Silence. Only those who enter it may find out.

We were given the task of spending 2 full days in complete silence. Almost off-the-grid. Away from smartphones, television sets, laptops and other electronics and away from any noise. Even talking was off-limits. Complete silence. This was something I always wanted to do, so it came at an opportune time.

If he had all the riches in the world, what would I do?

Teach what? Teach people how to get rich themselves. Everything that I know has got me to a point where I want to be. I can teach others how they can go from where they are to the point where they want to be. It’s a beautiful thing!

The problem is not that there are so many poor people, it’s that they don’t get taught how to be rich. So there are too few rich people. It’s a change of awareness.

Here’s what I would do. I’d build schools in various developing countries all around the world, one at a time, and offer financial education to people for free. That’s what I want to do if money was no object. It would mean a dramatic decrease in poverty, the graduates get financially successful and duplicate the cause by offering their own financial education to others and we’ll create a movement of wealth creation with service at its core.

Where to start? I’d like to start in Angola (Africa), Peru (South America) and my home country of Iraq (Middle-East). Three continents building a new consciousness, one of wealth. Moving away from “fixing” things. Focusing on what the individual wants: freedom.

This is my mission in life. I have thought about this for years. Even though it’s an imperfect world, we can still make it a better world by having each one person focus on a mission in life.

The many ensuing silent moments shall create new ideas and methods for me to advance my purpose. I can feel the creative energy flowing day by day. It’s been a phenomenal experience so far. This is definately going to be major part of the curriculum at the schools. It’s all becoming so clear to me now.

The epiphany alone has me jumping a hole through my roof! This calls for a celebration!

Week 22 – Discovery

Knowledge is of priceless value, because by applying knowledge we can make our future what we wish it to be. When we realize that our present character, our present environment, our present ability, our present physical condition are all the result of past methods of thinking, we shall begin to have some conception of the value of knowledge.”
Master Key System, Part 22

Here’s some knowledge.
Each of us live the life we chose. There are consequences for each and every choice we make. Our daily choices extend precedent. They life we progress into or the life we keep the same. Do we take perceived risk or do we play it safe? Do we indulge in our heart or give in to our fear? Do we pursue what we want or do we stay “comfortable”?

Most people choose comfort and get stuck with the life that they currently have. When we want to enter a new world and create a new life, we have to accept responsibility, accept the fact that the world within creates the world without and accept that the comfort zone is something WE have to control.

In week 22, we’ve been given the choice to stay in the comfort zone or to go for the unfolding of our potential.

To take the risk means to discover. Discovering our true nature. Who are we? What are our unlimited potentialities? Are we the influence and approval of our own thoughts or of the thoughts of others?

What are we?
We are God’s masterpiece. He created us to be us and not an imitation of someone else. We all have our own unique gifts, talents and abilities ready to serve others.
We not just “ordinary”, we’re extraordinary people. It is up to us to determine our purpose and go for it, because we have something special to offer. Each day, as the sun rises and we wake up, there’s a miracle. We’re alive! I’m grateful for these miracles. Fueled with an earnest desire we take action to advance our definiteness of purpose. As the days go by, we better the world with the power of one. Imagine millions of people helping millions of others with one random act of kindness, one word of encouragement, one smile.

Now imagine billions of people doing the same.

Week 21 – L.U.C.K.

Labor Under Correct Knowledge

You know how sometimes you feel like unfortunate things happen to good folks and fortunate things happen to the not-so-good folks. It just doesn’t make sense at times. We should ask ourselves: do we really have control over our own “luck”? And if so, how much? Could it be that we can create miracles or misfortunes?

“The real secret of power is the consciousness of power.”
Master Key System – Part 21
Creating your own luck? Knowing the meaning of life? Just remember this sentence by Haanel.

Consciousness is where it all starts. We must be the observer. Unopinionated. Positive. Conscious of our direct surroundings and feelings.

Thinking Big
We don’t need to settle for less. The Law of Abundance is has infinite room for the size of our thoughts. It’s up to us to have free or limit ourselves. The universe has given us a chance, a second chance, a third chance, so many chances to start over and make it big. Why not take another chance?

What would the person I intend to become choose to do? Will he be serving himself, or serving other people? I choose to serve both, by starting to serve other people. Over the last months we’ve developed the ability to think for ourselves. We chose to focus on the whole, because it’s bigger than the sum of the parts. We chose to go for our true intentions in life.

The Law of Growth is working all the time. 24/7. It is the path we walk to our definiteness of purpose.

Creating our own L.U.C.K.
While many people chose to focus on results, we chose to focus on behaviors. Our behaviors are what determine our results. What we get out in live is what we get out of our behaviors. What we get out in our behaviors is what we get out of our attitudes and beliefs. What we get out in attitudes and beliefs is what we get out in thinking and perception.

That’s why we emphasize thinking and perfection rather than tactics and tricks for instance. Willpower often isn’t enough to change behavior. But it is still very possible to do it. All it takes is a little conditioning, to start changing our thinking and perception.

We can see the world differently. We can influence those around us. Slowly and steadily we start bettering our lives and succeeding in our life-advancing goals. We labor under correct knowledge. Our life is our own design.

Week 20 – Getting My “Sonic” On

In week 20, we found out another method on how to focus on doing the main thing. Normally, most people are like foxes. They think they’re great “multi-taskers”. They reality is: they’re just involved in a lot of different tasks. What we need to become are hedgehogs. Locked in and focused on the most vital task (other than breathing, eating food and all that stuff).

The Main Thing is to keep the Main Thing the Main Thing, because that’s the Main Thing.
What do we need to do to figure out what that Main Thing is? A simple yet very effective exercise that made Henry Ford mega successful. It’s called: “paired comparison”. Going through paired comparison, you’ll be comparing the top 5 activities you need to do that will drive you toward your goals.

Here’s how it works.
Let’s take the example of network marketing.

  • We write down the 5 activities on paper.
  1. Conference calls
  2. Recruiting
  3. Follow-Up
  4. Product knowledge
  5. Events
  • Now we check mark the activities and compare them to each other based on importance.
  • First we compare 1 with 2, then 1 with 3, 1-4 and 1-5.
  • Then 2-3, 3-4, 4-5.
  • Then 3-4, 3-5.
  • Lastly 4-5.
  1. Conference calls ✓✓
  2. Recruiting ✓✓✓✓
  3. Follow-Up ✓✓✓
  4. Product knowledge
  5. Events
  • We have now identified the A activity (the most important one) and the B activity.
  • The A activity is recruiting. The B activity is Follow-Up.
  • Very important! We schedule a date with family before doing any activities. This will keep balance in our household and outside of it.
  • We schedule 60% of our weekly time doing the A activity and 30% on the B activity.

It’s important to remind ourselves that we complete the A activity first, the B activity second and the rest of the 10% later in the week. In that order! Doing these simple things will give us no choice but the succeed, because we’re locked in.

The difference between knowing what to do and doing it, is whether or not we schedule it. If it isn’t written, it isn’t true.

Paired comp

Thanks for checking this out.
